What is Reviewl?
Reviewl is an automated review request platform for UK businesses. You add a customer, and Reviewl automatically sends a personalised email asking them to leave a review on Google, Trustpilot, Facebook, Yelp, or any custom URL — plus follow-up reminders if they haven't responded. It turns happy customers into published 5-star reviews without you lifting a finger.
How does it work?
When you add a customer (or upload a bulk list), Reviewl sends an initial review-request email on your behalf. If the customer doesn't click through, it follows up automatically with up to two reminders at intervals you control. Each email contains a unique one-click link that takes the customer straight to your review page.
Which review platforms does Reviewl support?
Reviewl supports Google, Trustpilot, Facebook, Yelp, and any custom URL you provide — useful for niche directories or your own website. You can enable multiple platforms per campaign so customers can choose where they leave their review.
How long does it take to get started?
Most businesses are fully set up in under 10 minutes. You create your account, enter your review page URL, adjust your email template if you want to, and start adding customers. There is no developer integration required.
Can I customise the emails sent to my customers?
Yes. You can edit the subject line, body copy, brand colour, review button text, and footer on every email template. You can also save multiple templates and assign different ones to different campaigns.
What is a campaign?
A campaign is a reusable review-request sequence (initial email + reminders) tied to a specific review platform and schedule. You can run multiple campaigns simultaneously — for example, a Google campaign and a Trustpilot campaign — and assign each new customer to one or more campaigns.
How many reviews can I expect to get?
Results vary by industry and customer base, but businesses using automated review requests typically see a 3–5× increase in monthly review volume compared to asking manually. Timing and personalisation matter — sending within 24 hours of a positive interaction consistently performs best.
Do customers receive spam? Can they opt out?
No. Every email includes a clear unsubscribe link. Customers who click it are immediately removed from all future requests for your business — Reviewl adds them to a suppression list and cancels any pending emails in a single transaction. We are fully compliant with CAN-SPAM, PECR, and GDPR opt-out requirements.
Is Reviewl GDPR compliant?
Yes. Reviewl is built and operated in the UK with GDPR compliance at its core. Customer email addresses you upload are used solely to send the review requests you authorise. We record consent at account registration, honour all right-to-erasure requests, maintain suppression lists, and never sell or share customer data with third parties.
What are the pricing plans?
Reviewl offers four plans: Free (limited requests, one campaign), Starter, Growth, and Pro. Each tier unlocks more monthly review requests, campaigns, and bulk-send allowances. See the Pricing section on our homepage for current prices.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — every paid plan starts with a free trial so you can see results before you commit. A payment method is required to start the trial, but you will not be charged until the trial period ends.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. There are no lock-in contracts or cancellation fees. Your account reverts to the Free tier at the end of your billing period.
What happens to customers already in my pipeline if I cancel?
Pending review-request emails that are already scheduled will not be sent after your subscription downgrades below the required plan. Customers who have already received an initial email will not receive further reminders once your plan limits are reached.
Can I send review requests in bulk?
Yes. Growth and Pro plans include a bulk-send feature that lets you upload a CSV of customer names and email addresses and send a review-request campaign to all of them at once. This is ideal for catching up on a backlog of customers or re-engaging past clients.
Does Reviewl integrate with my CRM or booking system?
Currently Reviewl does not have native CRM integrations. You can add customers manually one at a time or upload a CSV for bulk sending. API access and CRM integrations (e.g. Zapier) are on the product roadmap.
Can I use Reviewl for multiple business locations?
Each Reviewl account is tied to a single business. If you manage multiple locations, you would need a separate account for each. Enterprise and agency plans with multi-location support are available — contact us to discuss.
How does Reviewl compare to asking customers manually?
Manual requests depend on your team remembering to ask, crafting a message, and following up — most businesses manage only a handful per month. Reviewl automates the entire sequence so every customer receives a timely, professionally designed request with reminders, consistently and at scale.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use Neon PostgreSQL with automated backups, Stripe for payment processing (we never store card details), and Resend for reliable email delivery. Role-based access controls ensure only authorised users can access your business data.
